FIVE18 believes every child has the right to a safe and healthy home, supported by a faithful community. Through our counseling, camp, and family care ministries, we meet families right where they are to provide healing, restoration, and hope.
FIVE18 does not rely on government funding, and we provide our services regardless of clients' ability to pay for them. In order to accomplish this, our services are substantially—or entirely—underwritten by donations to our organization.
In addition to the support contributed on a regular basis, FIVE18 has been richly blessed by generous donors who have given considerable legacy gifts through the decades. As these gifts were set aside and stewarded well by our Board of Trustees, they have enabled FIVE18 to have all of our administrative, marketing, and fundraising costs covered by an annual draw from these funds.
Therefore, the donations received throughout the year go directly and completely to support our various ministries. Our legacy gifts also give us the freedom to offer services that are in alignment with our Christian values and in the best interest of our clients, rather than having to rely on shifting government service priorities and associated contracts to fund our services. We value this freedom to be and to do what clients most need, while serving and loving them as Christ would.
Based on 2 Corinthians 5:18 and the ministry of reconciliation, Patrick Henry Family Services has become FIVE18!
